Allison DeWolf

With twenty-three years of teaching Kindergarten at Eagle Ridge, Allison DeWolf is excited to start a new year!  When asked to give advice to young families, Allison always encourages parents to read to their children and to instill a love of learning at the youngest of ages. After being at ERE for quite some time, Allison has seen Eagle Ridge transform over the years. Perhaps the biggest change has been with the advent of the 7 Habits. It has created a daily focus of leadership used by all of the community. Allison and her husband have 2 older children.  Her son Jack graduated from CSU with a degree in Finance and her daughter Abby just graduated from Ole Miss and is living in Nashville. When not teaching, you will find Allison on the tennis courts.

MIA JOHNSON

My name is Mia Johnson, and I am beyond excited to be joining the Kindergarten team this upcoming school year! As a proud Colorado native—and a former student in the Douglas County School District—this opportunity feels like coming full circle.

I graduated from Colorado State University this May with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. During my time at CSU, I discovered a true passion for early literacy and for building a classroom environment where every child feels seen, supported, and excited to learn.

Teaching runs in my family, and I’m so grateful to be following in the footsteps of my mom who teaches preschool at Colorado Christian Academy, and my younger sister is currently a freshman at CSU, also studying Early Childhood Education. Being surrounded by passionate educators has shaped who I am and continues to fuel my love for teaching.

My goal is to create a welcoming classroom community where students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family, cooking, and crafting!

MANDY SYMONS

An 18 year veteran of ERE, Mandy Symons got her start as the Director of the Eagle Care Program. She is entering her eleventh year teaching Kindergarten at Eagle Ridge. Mandy loves the little ones and appreciates how eager they are every day to learn and to be at school. Mandy says that “ERE is a family. The kids are amazing and we have a supportive and wonderful parent and school community.” Mandy loves to work out,  read, and cheer on her Chiefs. She is originally from Kansas, but has called Colorado home since 2001.

TAMMY BULLOCK

I am so excited to be joining the Eagle Ridge team this year.I began my teaching career in 1996. After three years of teaching I decided to stay home to raise my children. I returned to the classroom and I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and worked as an interventionist with 5th and 6th graders. I have a master’s degree in education with a focus on curriculum and instruction.I love learning new things that I can bring into my classroom.

Kindergarten is my favorite grade to teach. I love the curiosity of children at this age and it is amazing to see how much growth is made during the year.  I firmly believe that each student is unique, with their own strengths and challenges. I value creating a safe and inclusive classroom community where every student feels valued, respected, and supported to explore their full potential. We will work hard and have fun as we learn this year.

I am a Colorado native and feel grateful to call this beautiful state home. My husband John and I have been married for 27 years.  We have two adult children, John and Miranda. I love animals, especially dogs. When I’m not at school, I enjoy yoga, hiking, and reading. I love the ocean and enjoy traveling to different places.
