Dear Eagle Ridge Families,
As we embark on another exciting school year, I want to take a moment to introduce myself to those who are new to our community and reconnect with those who have been with us for a while. My name is Doug Humphreys, and I am proud to say that I have had the privilege of serving as the building leader at Eagle Ridge Elementary for the past 15 years. My journey in education spans 25 years, all within the Douglas County School District, where I have been dedicated to fostering an environment where students can grow, learn, and thrive.
On a personal note, I am fortunate to have an incredible family who shares my passion for education. My wife is a sixth-grade teacher, and together, we have raised two wonderful sons. Our oldest, Landen, is currently a freshman at UNLV, pursuing a degree in hospitality, while our youngest, Brecken, is a sophomore at Mountain Vista High School. As a family, we cherish our time outdoors, whether it's hiking, fishing, or exploring the beauty of nature. We also love attending various sporting events and concerts, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As we look ahead to the upcoming school year, I am filled with excitement and anticipation. Our commitment to student growth and engagement remains stronger than ever. I am confident that together, we will continue to build a vibrant and supportive learning community where every child can succeed.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I look forward to working with you and your children as we make this school year one of the best yet!
Warm regards,
Doug Humphreys

Jill Sanger, a Colorado Native, is happy to be returning to Eagle Ridge for her 18th year. Previously a 2nd/3rd grade classroom teacher, and then part of our MTSS Team, this is Jill's 3rd year as our AP. On weekends/breaks, Jill enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing volleyball and golf, as well as cheering on ALL Colorado sports teams, especially the Broncos!
