Meet the Fifth Grade Team
Cheryl Montgomery, Amy Snider, and Keke Stickney
Amy Snider
This will be Amy’s seventh year teaching 5th grade at ERE and her 15th year teaching! She is a Colorado native and feels blessed to have grown up and attended Douglas County schools within such a beautiful and diverse state. Amy attended the University of Northern Colorado and earned her Bachelor's degree then continued on with achieving her Masters degree. She looks forward to meeting and building strong relationships with her students and families throughout this school year. Fifth grade is a rewarding and challenging experience, and she is eager to help all her students reach their personal best. In her free time, Amy enjoys watching her boys play baseball, hanging out with her daughter, working out with her husband, and watching sports.
Keke Stickney
This will be Keke’s 22nd year in Education. Keke graduated from Colorado State University, with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science-Wellness Management. She then obtained her Teaching credential at The University of Denver, and a Masters degree and Principal’s license in Leadership and Policy Studies, at Regis University. She has taught students here in Douglas County Schools at the Elementary, Middle and High School level. In addition, she has served as a District Coordinator for Health Education initiatives in DCSD, Jeffco Public Schools, and Telluride Public Schools. Her two passions in her careers thus far have been in teaching and coordinating Health Education, and spending time as a classroom teacher at the Elementary level. In her experience, 5th grade is a wonderful time in a child’s life. As such, she is excited to teach your child this year! In her spare time, she is actively involved in coaching club volleyball, hiking, skiing, working out, watching DU and Avalanche Hockey, sewing, and dabbling in interior decorating. Her sons Zachary and Noah are former graduates of Rock Canyon High School.
Cheryl Montgomery
Cheryl is in her 6th year at Eagle Ridge Elementary (ERE). She was on our MTSS team, taught Kindergarten and now is teaching 5th. She’s looking forward to building unique relationships with every student and their families. She wants her students to grow not only academically, but to be the best version of themselves. Cheryl grew up in California, lived in Minnesota for 5 years before moving to Colorado 7 years ago. Outside of ERE, she loves watching her 4 boys play various sports, doing CrossFit at N’Tense Fitness, paddle boarding and golf. She loves traveling internationally and learning about other cultures. However, most of all, she loves the beach. It truly is her paradise!
