Nickolette Grimes

Hello! My name is Nickolette, and I’m thrilled to be entering my seventh year as an educator! Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching first and second grade, as well as Art. I spent three incredible years working with first and second graders in Puerto Rico. I’ve taught second grade for 4 years, and this will be my fifth year in first grade! I absolutely love helping young learners grow, especially when it comes to learning how to read.

I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Linguistically Diverse Education. I’m deeply committed to creating a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

Teaching is truly in my DNA; my entire family on my dad’s side are educators, so it’s no surprise that I found my calling early on. What makes this year especially meaningful is that I’m teaching in DCSD, where I was once a student myself at Coyote Creek Elementary!

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me outdoors hiking, camping, caving, or enjoying a good book. I also love crafting and diving into creative projects whenever I can. I’m so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to build a meaningful learning journey with my students!

Kristi Perry

This will be my 17th year of teaching (mainly 1st grade)! Prior to teaching for Eagle Ridge, I taught 1st grade, 5th grade, and Reading Intervention throughout San Diego, CA.  My family and I moved to Lone Tree in April of 2022, and absolutely love it here!!

I love my job for many reasons but most of all because it allows me to share my love of learning with your child!  I am dedicated to supporting your student in order to achieve their goals.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family.  I have 2 lovely boys, a sweet dog, and a wonderful husband. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I have lived and traveled all over the United States and abroad.  I love to teach, read, travel, sing, craft, all things Disney, play in the mountains, and spend time with my family.

I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!

Jackie Senkosky

I grew up as a student in Douglas County School District, and I’ve now come full circle as a teacher! I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, along with a minor in Creative Arts. This is my seventh year teaching and my third year at Eagle Ridge Elementary! I’ve taught first, second, and third grade. My main focus as a teacher is forming strong, authentic relationships with my students. I love to make learning fun and help to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and collaboration within my classroom. My classroom environment is warm, gentle, safe, and encouraging. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending church, paddleboarding, traveling, reading, singing and playing guitar, and spending time at home with my two kitties.

I am looking forward to the year ahead and creating a meaningful and fulfilling journey with my students!

Rebecca Sturm

I am very excited to work another year at Eagle Ridge and with the amazing community that comes with it.  This is my third year at Eagle Ridge teaching first grade and will be my fourth year teaching. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in May of 2022.  I enjoy many things about being a teacher; I love watching my students grow throughout the year, being such a huge part of their lives, and making a positive impact in their educational careers.

I am a Colorado Native and when I am not teaching I love to be outside! You will find me hiking, fishing, golfing, and kayaking.  I also love to bake, craft, and watch Colorado sporting events when I get the chance. (Go Avalanche!!)  I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and most importantly my two dogs.

I am excited to share my love of learning with each of my students and welcome their families into my classroom.
