Every winter, Highlands Ranch High School hosts its annual Wish Week as a fundraiser for the Make a Wish foundation, which grants wishes to children facing medical challenges. This year, the HRHS Wish Week was held from January 26 through February 2nd and for the 5th consecutive year, Eagle Ridge stepped up to help.
Holding events throughout the week to celebrate all things Beckett enjoys, our students had a blast while also raising money for this fabulous cause. We danced at lunch, watched some Power Rangers, dressed in various themes and held a "Penny Stall" where teachers are forced to count all the change our students bring in before they can start class for the day. Several classes were "stalled" until after 2pm! (The penny stall alone raised over $3,000!!).
In the end, the Eagle Ridge community raised over $7,200 for Beckett's wish, contributing to the $25,000 raised in total by Highlands Ranch High School and all its feeders. That's right - if you're doing the math, that means ERE contributed more than 1/4 of the entire amount raised!
We are so proud of our students, staff and families for this fabulous effort and we know Beckett and the other children and families who will benefit are incredibly thankful for your generosity.
