A small group of 6th graders here at Eagle Ridge have been working on a Passion Project for the last month or so, hoping to make a difference as they finish out their time at Eagle Ridge. They decided to host an event (a 3K Run) to support a special cause. A few weeks ago, the entire school voted and chose to support The Willstrong Cancer Foundation through this event.
Will Maniatis, the namesake of Willstrong, was a student at ERE several years ago (ERE Class of 2017) and lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in early 2020 (at just 15 years old). We are raising money for his family's foundation, to continue to support research for pediatric cancer.
On May 21st, this eager 6th grade group will be hosting a 3K Run right here at Eagle Ridge to support Will's cause. Come join us as we RUN STRONG FOR WILLSTRONG!
